Presley's New Blanket

So this is TOTALLY no big deal I am sure in a lot of peoples minds, but for me...it is! I am OBSESSED with cute blankets for Presley. Yesterday we got a new one at Target and they also have it in brown and blue for boys. I thought I would post this cute picture of Presley last night after we got home. She was sitting watching The Little Mermaid with her new blanket.

ZOO

On Sunday, we decided to go to the Zoo and to invite Presley's Nana and Papa along. We had a blast and Presley is big enough to appreciate the animals and the fun toys there.

Here is Presley on the tractor..

Although there are so many neat animals here, Presley's favorite was all the birds...you know, the things that we could see in our backyard if we wanted (ha)..

Here is Presley and her Papa on the Merry-Go-Round. This was her first ride and she actually did very well, although my Dad didn't feel too good after the ride..

WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
We don't usually do a big thing for Valentine's Day. Today I made a roast and a Red Velvet cake for Preston and Presley made him a valentine card. She was so proud while doing it and was so excited when I told her to go give it to Daddy.
Yes, I know she looks NOTHING like me and is a spitten image of her Daddy. RRR! (ha)

After Daddy got home, he read to Presley. She LOVES books.

DON'T GET ANY BIGGER PRES!!

So, for some reason, the past few days I have been getting a little sad about my little girl growing up. Happy, but sad. She is saying SO much and surprises me that she knows things that maybe she was only told once.

When I pulled her out of the bath this morning, I said "One, Two" and Presley said "Three!". UGH! What a smartie pants.

Yesterday I said "Where is Daddy today", she in turn said "Work".

I know these things are not really huge things, but anyone who is a mother would COMPLETELY understand. It's just those little turning points that make you realize that you don't have a baby anymore! AAHH!

I thought I would post some pictures of my big girl. Yesterday we went to meet a friend at McDonalds with her two kids and then we went to the mall to exchange some things. She usually does not like the stroller but she was SO good the whole time. Then we went to see Nana, Papa, Logan, Auntie Sheri and Uncle Craig in the evening. Today we will be out again and she is wearing her new dress. I LOVE Pumpkin Patch...(when I find good sale items it's even better =) )

One thing after another..

We haven't been out much in the past couple of weeks so there are not too many exciting pictures to post. Presley was sick with a cold, then as that got better, she ended up getting a cough and it turned into an ear infection. After that doctors visit she started to take an antibiotic and then had the worst diaper rash ever....So needless to say, it was one thing after another with her.
As if that was not enough, I ate at Filibertos (which I RARELY do) and got food poisoning. So I was down and out for a few days...THEN...Preston got a migraine (when I say that, you may be thinking "no big deal", but when Preston gets a migraine, he is completely down for days and it makes him very sick, like throw up sick).
Between all of this, my best friend Kristi had her baby (which I already posted on) but then went home and ended up getting re admitted to the hospital because of a blood clot in her leg. They released her soon after since there was nothing they could do about it right now, but it's just been a whirlwin for her. I am not sure how she does it each an every day with the new baby and triplets. I stayed the night with her to help out and clean and I am telling you...I was EXHAUSTED when I got home. She is amazing.

So, we are all healthy right now...(knock on wood), and I pray we stay that way! Here are just a couple of cute pictures of Presley. Although she didn't want me to take the pictures, I still think she looks cute.

Presley and Mommy's Picnic

Today Presley and I had a picnic in the backyard. Simple, but SO fun. Presley LOVES being outside. In fact, we cannot say "outside" unless we are completely ready to go there because once she hears it, she want to go NOW! So, today was an outside day and we had a lot of fun. We went to the "Swing Park" later in the day as well so she was in hog heaven!

Our little monkey and her banana...
And here is a little video of her. Now, stick with it...she starts out throwing just a little girl drama fit, but you will see then she switches that when she gets what she wanted..her banana. Then she starts to say "Come here duckies". This is what Nana and Papa taught her to say when they go to the duck pond by their house.
